Summary:
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for providing engineering support, research, development, integration, validation, and documentation of SMART/Embedded products and components as part of the GPT Product and Engineering team.
The role will work on product and system development by performing tasks of technical industry research, developing product and system requirements, design contribution, prototyping, component sourcing and integration, validation testing, system refinement, and user set up support.
Essential Functions:
Research and development of hardware and software in SMART connected products and systems Understand the applications and performance of GPT core products and apply digital and embedded technology to measure product performance attributes Select appropriate technology around sensors, system interface and communication Integrate technology as part of a data acquisition and visualization system Use data to understand how the application affects the performance Develop algorithms and business logic to identify and predict common failure modes Research and select appropriate technology vendors in the areas of sensors, system interface and communication Support product planning and commercialization Comply with company safety standards and regulations CORE COMPETENCIES:

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Electronic / Electrical Engineering 1-3 years of experience with hardware and firmware product development electrical engineering Excellent Computer Skills to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Computer Science or Computer Engineering background Analog electronic design Digital electronic design Sensor Interface Algorithm development
