The foundation of a connected world, it's a network free of the limitations of the past, and flexible enough to satisfy all the social, economic and transformative needs of the changing world Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesAs Manager of RAN Engineering, you will be part of Dish's Engineering and Operations team. The successful candidate will lead and manage a team of 5G Engineers and SMEs across U.S. and/or offshore for DISH's Engineering and Operations teamThis position will drive a highly technical team and function of critical visibility in the organization to help deliver and maintain the best-in-class 5G operational network.In this role, you will:
Provide engineering technical support to NOC, including RAN OPS and markets Collaborate with RAN product vendors and cloud platform vendors (AWS, VMWare) for Tier-IV product/R&D support Oversee SW deployments, new HW/SW changes, and updates Develop and maintain National MOPS/SOPS for NOC/market SMEs (O&M) Collaborate with National RF teams for operational support on KPIs, Optimization, and Golden Parameter Configurations Work in close collaboration across multiple functions within Dish, including RF, Deployment & Integration teams, Tech Dev, Core, Cloud Infra, Network Engineering, and National NOC Provide cross-training experiences to NOC and RAN OPS, track top issues, and identify areas for continuous improvement. Skills, Experience and RequirementsAs Manager our RAN Engineering team, you will have:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or Telecommunications Engineering (Masters preferred) 8
years of experience, including 5
years managing related teams Proficient in RAN technologies:
4G, 5G (SA preferred), VoLTE, VoNR, 3GPP, and ORAN standards Skilled in managing technical teams and using ticket tracking services like Jira and ServiceOne Strong troubleshooting abilities with the capacity to resolve network event outages Experienced in analyzing wireless networks and equipment, with multitasking capabilities in stressful situations Advanced leadership and management skills, including strategic thinking and self-awareness Additional expertise in RF Design, Optimization, Performance, and RAN Operations is beneficial Deep understanding of LTE, VoLTE, 5G VoNR L2/L3 call flows, with proficiency in analyzing traces Salary RangesCompensation:
