We are seeking a clinical leader for our Labor and Delivery unit and NICU. Family-centered nursing care is the hallmark of obstetrical, newborn and gynecological services. Lutheran has a Level IIIA Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with experienced nursing staff and 24-hour neonatal nurse practitioner coverage.
The Nurse Manager shapes and interprets the philosophy and definition of the clinical units as it relates to short and long-term planning, program and staff development, resource and budget management, quality assurance, and systems utilization. The Manager uses outstanding communication, problem-solving, and change management skills to influence staff utilization and motivation, and to promote smooth operations of the clinical areas while maintaining service excellence.
Some key responsibilities include:
o Rounding to seek out clinical challenges and evaluating and enhancing nursing care o Assisting with clinical emergencies o Providing vision and action in designing and maintaining an efficient and effective patient care delivery system. o Inspiring staff to high standards of care while maintaining exceptional productivity ratios. o Developing area budgets o Attention to recruitment and retention strategies to keep turnover rates lower than regional norms. o Meeting or exceeding all JCAHO standards for areas of responsibility.

Successful incumbents will have a BSN (Master's degree in Nursing preferred) with at least three years of L&D or NICU experience at a manager level in an acute hospital setting. Must hold or be able to obtain CO RN license.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
