Veterinary Technician - Neurology

Neurology Technician
We are looking for an experienced technician responsible for duties such as assisting our neurologists with receiving of new patients, patient care for hospitalized patients, performing anesthesia and willing to learn how to perform CT and MRI scans.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills with clients, with extensive anesthesia and patient care experience, with great attention to detail, and who is a team player and likes to work within an experienced group of technicians and doctors.
Individual department teams exist within the structure of technicians. Technician duties will vary from department to department, however include general technician duties such as:
  • Advanced nursing care and treatment of patients
  • Administering and monitoring anesthesia
  • Assisting the veterinarian in procedures
  • Admitting and discharging patients
  • Client communication and education
  • Must have current certification or licensing as a veterinary technician
  • Is reliable, organized, and provides a high level of care to our patients and our clients
  • Will act as a representative of the hospital at all times, displaying consideration, courtesy, compassion, and professionalism in all interactions

Regular job duties may require:
  • Standing frequently during the course of the day
  • Bending, squatting, and kneeling repeatedly during the course of the day
  • Pushing and pulling up to 20 pounds frequently during the course of the day
  • Sitting occasionally during the course of the day
  • Lifting and restraining up to 50 pounds without assistance frequently during the course of the day
  • Lifting and restraining up to 100 + pounds with assistance frequently during the course of the day

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
