Job Description
General Responsibilities:
Terracon's Denver office is seeking a skilled, motivated problem solver to join our Team as a Senior CAD Operator! Candidates should have experience with data management, data analysis, and data visualization, along with a background in science or engineering. As a Senior CAD Operator, you will work with our professional staff of engineers, geologists, and scientists to prepare simple to complex exhibits and figures for deliverables being submitted to our client's and regulatory agencies. The selected candidate should also be skilled with the use of ArcGIS to prepare exhibits, figures, and other visual products, and will play a critical role in the development of project databases, map products, 3D models and web applications for a diverse range of engineering, environmental, and consulting projects in the western United States.
Serves as the drafting lead, discipline designer, and drafting approver on multiple projects and is responsible for providing illustrated computerized drafting per project and client specifications;
Performs Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) for site assessment, engineering drawings, as-built drawings, and construction drawings using the most recent versions of AutoCAD.
Check and verify that drawing and map packages conform to specification and design data;
Research, compile, and review spatial data from public and proprietary sources to create project GIS maps and exhibits;
Document project workflows, data sources, and data limitations and assist in the creation of advanced GIS products and data models;
Setup and configure appropriate tools for field data collection based on project needs and perform field data collection, data transfer, and postprocessing;
Compile technical project data from various sources, including reports, field notes and engineering plans;
Scan, geo-reference and digitize hardcopy plans;
Develops familiarity by reading, understanding, and maintaining a working knowledge of standards, systems, and document controls to continually improve the quality of exhibits, maps, and other work elements.
Demonstrates personal accuracy, attention to detail, and engages in continuous self-improvement and policy and procedure change;
Learns to identify internal personnel and external client's drafting and design needs with regard to formatting, content, and end product quality; and,
Maintains quality standards on all projects.
Required Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent;
Associate of Art's or Associate of Science degree in graphic or drafting technology or at least 2 years in related technical school or college;
Minimum 5-7 years of CAD/ArcGIS experience in the environmental consulting or a related consulting atmosphere;

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
