Are you passionate about making a difference in your community?   Terracon is growing and searching for a Regional Transportation Program Manager for the Rocky Mountain Region based out of the Denver office.  In this role you will be responsible to focus on transportation business development and program management for design-bid-build, design-build, and public-private-partnership (P3) projects for the Denver and related region.  Additionally, you will manage all aspects of engineering transportation projects to ensure that they are completed on time, within scope and on budget.  In this role you will be responsible for safely completing the project as per its contracted scope; monitor progress and performance against the project plan.  Troubleshoot and recommend or resolve operational problems and minimize delays.  Another exciting aspect of this job is that you will be responsible for resource management, project scheduling, budgets and forecasts, and working with external design partners, vendors, subcontractors or contractors.  Communication is paramount and you will be required to prepare reports to communicate the status of the project to project team and client.  Set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet project targets and milestones. Please know that experience with handling business development contacts is a preferred qualification for the position and you will conduct business development activities and host meetings with current clients as required. We share your passion. Specific duties for this position are: Plans and develops approaches to projects with unique or controversial problems. Explores subject area, defines scope and selection. Lead development of multi-discipline services the focus being the transportation sector: geotechnical, construction materials testing or environmental service lines. Represents group in conferences to resolve questions and plan and coordinate work.  As a specialist, develops and evaluates plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities to be carried out by others. Provides training to all staff when under his/her direction, while performing on client projects or providing professional development for subordinate staff. Directs in-house technical seminars in areas of expertise. Provides consultation on quality control issues to corporate and line management to resolve conflicts on projects where questions or service deficiencies have surfaced in technical area of his/her expertise. In accordance with company procedures, approves or prepares reports for relatively complex projects, making appropriate recommendations as necessary on relatively small or large projects. With assistance of corporate marketing, develops research methods to uncover potential clients for new markets in area of expertise. Participates in the development of marketing strategies and formal presentations of qualifications to clients on various projects in area of expertise.   Qualifications: o Bachelor's degree Civil Engineering with a minimum of 8+ years' related experience with a (PE) in any of the above listed preferred states with the ability to obtain a PE in other states as necessary. o Strong geotechnical consulting and client development background in the transportation sector. o Experience in client engagement, proposal writing, and commercial agreements. o Proven track record of successful management of large multi-discipline projects. o Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history. o Good communication skills a must. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
